Speech V - Who's Who in the Zoo - Understanding & Accepting Our Differences
For speech five (5) we will engage our audiences while discussing the virtues of Humanity and Justice. This topic will cover messages about the art of allowing, “I am what I am, and I am willing to allow all others to be that which they are”. Social Intelligence, being aware of the motives and feelings we are having about our fellow human being. There will also be discussions about Teamwork, citizenship, social responsibility, loyalty and contributing to a group effort. Recognizing that caring about the welfare of others is nurturing the society we live in, regardless of the social environment we find ourselves. When someone is mentally unhealthy (in a state of negativity), regardless of what has caused it, or who is responsible for it, we ALL must be diligent in taking action to change his/her mindset, this could play a role in preventing that individual from acting out in a way that will have a negative impact on others. Becoming an active part of making society a better place is encouraged. We will visit the evolution of acceptance in regard to; race, sexuality, mental illness, or anything considered out of the norm. Fairness will be an important part of this presentation as our speaker will talk about adhering to principals of justice, not allowing feelings to bias decisions about others. After this presentation, we are hopeful that our young audience will embrace these qualities that represent an exceptional leader. It is most important that we all do our part in ensuring society is a place we all feel safe, an environment of peace and harmony. Open discussions about “What will it take to achieve THAT?” will generate thoughts about the world they want to live in.
